Jacques Vermonden

Based in Mexico City since 1975, Jacques Vermonden is a senior interior architect who designs and manages each project from conceptual site design through construction down to the last detail in the institutional, corporate, industrial and private sectors. He participated in the development of the Industrial Design Program at the UAM (Metropolitan Autonomous University, Mexico). He was a professor for more than 30 years and directed the same program for a period of 8 years. He is currently participating as an Interior Design expert in the Integration Workshop of the Interior Architecture specialization program of the "Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico" (UNAM). 15 years ago, he cofounded “Verde 360º” in response to his growing concern for environmental and climate issues. The company works on projects that range from climate change mitigation measures in buildings to fighting against the urban heat island effect in Mexico City and other major cities, to multidisciplinary projects to curb the constant deforestation of the Chiapas jungle, south of Mexico.
