Manuel Alvarez-Fuentes

Manuel Alvarez-Fuentes received the Mexican Design National Award in 2020. He acts as Ambassador for the Red Dot Awards, since 2016, has been a member of the Jury for the Red Dot Product and Concept Design Awards. He has been a distinguished Professor of various universities in Mexico, Tec de Monterrey, Ibero Universities in which he has served for more than thirty years. He was appointed as Dean of the School of Industrial Design at Ibero University at the age of 29 years 1975. Was a member of the Executive Board of ICSID (today World Design Organization) 2000-2004. In his 50 years of professional career has developed a wide range of projects, consultancy and research, in diverse design fields such as industrial design, graphic design, interior design, exhibition design, signage design. Relevant, successful and important projects and design developments lead by Professor Alvarez in Mexico, Central America, Lebanon, China, Cuba, Chile, etc.
