Design is one of those aspects of human creativity that is widely showcased. Design history is a discipline that studies objects of design in their historical and stylistic contexts, including social, cultural, economic, political, technical, and aesthetic aspects. This design-based problem-solving approach is evident every year in international design awards, where designers submit their top designs to compete for the best design in their respective fields. This year is no exception. Congratulations to all the winners of the 2023 French Design Awards. This edition attracted thousands of outstanding nominations from a record number of designers worldwide who competed for the top prizes in this prestigious award. Evaluating submissions from nearly 90 countries, members of the FDA jury highly praised the level of design entries across all award disciplines—Architecture, Interior, Product, Graphic, and Fashion Design.
As one jury member expressed, "We saw diverse and extraordinary submissions in this year's entries across geographies, typologies, and scale. The most successful designs appear to be those which apply creative thinking, crafting innovative and sustainable destinations to connect people with emotion, nature, and context.
